About Us

The Bullard Vegetable Oil Co-Op, Bullard VOC, was founded to provide alternative fuels to its members that operate diesel fueled vehicles.  A goal of the Co-Op is to provide a solution to recycle used vegetable oil from area restaurants and convert this to a fuel to power member’s vehicles that have been converted to run the recycled oil. This enables restaurants to dispose of the oil and allow the members to reduce the amount domestic and foreign crude oil that is used to make diesel fuel. An additional benefit of using the recycled vegetable oil is the reduction of pollutants that are produced from burning diesel fuel.  The Bullard VOC will use the recycled oil to power the member’s personal vehicles and will assist others to start their own Co-Ops using the knowledge that this Co-Op has gathered from the experiences of the members.

The oil is collected from area restaurants and is filtered before it is burned as a fuel. The Co-Op pays the federal road tax on the oil that is used at the same rate as what is charged when diesel is bought at the traditional fueling station. The Co-Op wants to make sure that we continue to support the up-keep of our roads.

The Bullard VOC would like to work with you to provide oil collection and to use it as an alternative fuel providing a win-win solution for the restaurants and the Co-Op members.
